On
August 13, 2014, the Indian National Congress led by Mallikarjun Kharge
tried to push their agenda regarding their proposed communal violence
bill (CBV) in the Lok Sabha . One of Kharge’s main points was that
communal violence has skyrocketed since PM Modi took his oath and in
essence, he alleges that Modi is a polarizing force who causes communal
violence. Therefore, please pass the CBV bill drafted
by the Congress Party’s NAC to fix everything. Kharge’s arguments were
considered so boring that Rahul Gandhi fell asleep during the
deliberation.
And then came Yogi Adityanath, the honourable MP
from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh! The Yogi went into attack mode as he
pounded the Congress with hard hitting rhetoric.
Below is a summary of some of his key quotes:
“After the BJP took oath, the citizen’s hope and trust in government has increased tremendously!”
“Policing is squarely in the hands of the State Government. However,
the centre has a responsibility to speak up when it sees atrocities
being perpetrated in states when those states are not doing enough to
handle the situations.”
“Congress must apologize to the nation
and to the people of Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, and
Maharashtra where they stood silent and watched communal violence
spread.”
“Must we remind the Congress of how it has attempted demographic engineering in the Northeast for votebanking purposes?”
“Must we remind the Congress that the maximum cases of terrorism and
communal violence have occured during their or their allies’ tenure? We
haven’t forgotten what you did to the Sikhs in 1984. Meerut, Saharanpur,
Muzzafarnagar, Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur, and blasts in Sankat Mochan &
Gorakhpur are all fresh in our memory. You tried every effort to get
your culprit friends exonerated. But thank god for the courts!”
“The party that runs on a platform of secularism actually has a
communal polarization agenda. For example, there are over 1.2 million
Sadhus, Saints, and Priests in India but why does the Congress only
support Imams?”
“Congress and its allies divide the nation
based on religion. Uttar Pradesh has provided a 20% Muslim reservation
on all projects. There is also a Rs 300 cr. allocation towards Muslim
cemetery boundary wall projects, which creates much friction in
countless villages. The Supreme Court has even stated that handing over
“Saarvajanik Sampatthi” or global commons (temples, mosques, seminaries)
to specific communities is wrong! So why is the SP government in Uttar
Pradesh doing so?”
“If thrashing patriots like Baba Ramdev during rallies where they chant vande mataram is secularism, then to hell with it!”
“The Congress/SP brand of secularism requires banning loud speakers in temples and adding them to mosques”
“When an Indian Muslim goes on Hajj, he is known by his Hindu identity and not as a Bhaaratiya, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi!”
“Hindutva is the national ideology that binds the nation and so its
citizenry are all Hindus. We have paid the price of not understanding
this so far.”
“Rabindranath Tagore once said that to know
India, one must know and understand Swami Vivekananda. And Swami
Vivekananda advised us to wake up and say that we are proud of being
Hindus.”
“It is the Hindu who says that all paths lead to the
truth! Which other group says that? We believe in live and let live. We
truly believe that the whole world is our family.”
“Congress seems to work at the behest Pakistan.”
“To find out all the truths about communal violence in India, I suggest
creating an SIT to investigate exactly who is behind this.”

Yogi Adityanath has firmly demonstrated that not all holy men and women
of Sanatana Dharma are passive pushovers. His speech in Lok Sabha gives
patriotic Indians hope that a better tomorrow is not far away.
