Pingali Venkayya (2 August 1876 – 4 July 1963) was an Indian freedom fighter and the designer of the flag from which Indian national flag was adopted.
Pingali Venkaiah was born to Hanumantha Raidu and Venkat Ratnamma in Bhatlapenumarru,Krishna district, near Machlipatnam in present day Andhra Pradesh.
He was a Geologist, Designer, Freedom Fighter.
