Indonesia, with almost 26 crore population, is fourth populous country in the world. But you can't imagine one fact after seeing this Vishnu idol. Indonesia has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. More than India or Pakistan. It was because of muslim traders, Indonesia got infected with Islam by 16th century
Still they hold annual Dashehra festival at many places. They version of Ramayana is little different from ours. Can you believe their attitude towards other religion? But catch is here. They don’t respect Hinduism. They respect their past and culture. And irrespective of religion, they stick to them. Religious fanaticism is growing very fast now but till now they do. It’s rare sight from a Muslim clan.
Muslim Saint and Poet Sheikh Mohammad wrote many books in Marathi namely Yog Sangram , Pavan Vijay etc in 1590 . Specialty of his poems was that first line of all his poems was salutation to Shri Ganesh as " Shri Ganeshaya Namah " and then followed by mixed composition of Urdu and Marathi . Photo attached. Poems were reprinted in 1854 at Pune . Title of this poem is " God is one only ."
We can learn a lot from them. Despite not converting and still being Hindus, we don’t give our past and culture their due respect….!
