Nandishwar Temple, Bargi, Madhya Pradesh


Whenever a dam is constructed a lot of flora, fauna and culture is destroyed. This ancient Nandishwar temple was falling under the catchment area of Bargi Dam in Madhya Pradesh. When the dam was constructed the idols were shifted and temple was reconstructed. Whenever a dam is to be constructed a study of flora, fauna, culture and traditions existing in the area should be carried out and preservation to the extent possible must be done. This temple is 45 km from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on a high hill that offers panoramic views of the big water body
